Conventional bleach systems achieve lift through uncontrolled oxidation — a process that destroys disulfide bonds and degrades the cortex irreversibly. CORT™ controls the oxygen reaction pathway, achieving equivalent lift through a fundamentally different mechanism. The result is measurably intact hair structure at the same color outcome.

Bleach damage-prevention products can be mixed in separately, just before the service. But this is a repair mechanism — reconnecting disulfide bonds after the damage has already occurred — not a prevention mechanism that stops the damage from happening in the first place.
The real constraint lies in the base formula itself: the bleach powder and developer. Adding damage-prevention ingredients directly into that base, at a concentration that would matter, is structurally impossible — it either disrupts the oxidative reaction itself or destabilizes the formula.
This structural ceiling is precisely why no company has ever developed a truly damage-free bleach. It was never a matter of a more refined ingredient combination — it was a physical limit built into the formulation approach itself.
